We celebrated International Women’s day on March 08’2017 at our college Auditorium under the Women Empowerment Cell of Sudharsan Engineering College.
In this programme, we conducted the following events for the students to demonstrate their extra-curricular skills.
Our students actively participated and won prizes in the above said events.
In Valedictory function Mrs.P.Parvathi ,HoD/CSE and Co-Ordinator /Women Empowerment cell, welcome the gathering with highlighting the need of the Women upliftment. Dr.K.Ganesan ,Principal Sudharsan Engineering College gave away the prizes for winners and deliver the presidential address with key points, insisted on importance of Women’s contribution to the society that leads to the various successful stages of country’s economic and cultural development and explained about our college’s successful initiatives, activities towards Women Empowerment .Vice Principal Dr.S.Karthikeyan gave felicitation address about the programme. Vote of thanks delivered by Mrs.Hemalatha, AP/ECE. Finally programme concluded with national anthem.
The Computer Science and Engineering Students Technical Association - F@CTT (Fest @ Computer Science Technical Team) of Sudharsan Engineering College organized technical paper presentation event on 07.03.2017 at 1.50 p.m in Edusat Hall.
Various topics were presented by the students of CSE such as Cloud Computing, Gifi, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Jammer, Android, smart cart etc. Apart from commemorating prizes, the event also fed up a great confidence to the students who were participating in the presentation. The event was judged by Mr. S.Ramakrishnan, AP/CSE and Dr. P. Jayagowri, HoD / Maths. Both of them delivered the pros and cons of the presentation.
The valedictory program was started with the welcome address by Mrs.P.Sujatha, Technical Association Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. /CSE. Dr. K.Ganesan, Principal Sudharsan Engineering College has supported the event and Mrs. P.Parvathi, HoD / CSE motivates the student for enthusiastic participation. Dr.S.Karthikeyan, Vice Principal delivered the presidential address and distributed the prizes for the winners and also certificates for the participants. The programme was winded with the vote of thanks given by F@CTT Secretary Ms. A. Akshaya, Third year CSE.
The Mechanical Engineering Students Technical Association (MESTA) of Sudharsan Engineering College organized IYANTRA-2K17 a national level technical symposium on 3rdMarch 2017. The Chief Guest Dr.K.R.Balasubramanian, Asst. Professor/Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Trichy inaugurated the symposium by lighting the kuthuvilakku and delivered the inaugural address. In his inaugural address he mentioned about the roles and responsibilities of a mechanical engineer in the society. Earlier Dr.S.Karthikeyan Vice-Principal and the Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering welcomed the gathering. Dr.S.Palani, Director felicitates and Dr.K.Ganesan, Principal presided over the function. Mr.SP.Kalaiselvan (MESTA Coordinator) and Mr.R.Balamurugan, (IYANTRA Coordinator) were present in the inaugural function.
In the symposium various technical and non-technical events were conducted to students participated from various engineering colleges. The prize winners were awarded by cash prize and shield in the valedictory function. The valedictory function of the symposium held at 4:00pm in the college auditorium. Dr.G.Elatharasan, Head-Department of Mechanical Engineering, University College of Engineering, Pattukottai was the chief guest for the Valedictory function. In his valedictory address he asked the students to get focus about creativity and innovation which will be helpful to the society. He also distributed the certificates and prizes to the prize winners of the event. Earlier in the valedictory function Dr.T.Gangaimani, First Year Coordinator felicitates the gathering. Dr.S.Karthikeyan Vice-Principal and the Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr.K.Ganesan, Principal, were present. Mr.SP.Kalaiselvan, MESTA Coordinator, delivered vote of thanks. All the symposium arrangements were done by the staff coordinator, faculty members and students of the department of mechanical engineering.
