Cricket

The campus features both indoor and outdoor sports infrastructure, supporting students in balancing academics with active lifestyles.

The overall diameter of a cricket ground range from 70 to 80 meters, depending on the level of play (school/domestic). The ground is surrounded by an inner circle and boundary line, which are crucial for fielding restrictions and scoring boundaries.

In some grounds, practice nets and pavilions are provided to support player training and comfort.

A cricket ground fosters discipline, strategy, endurance, and teamwork, making it an essential part of a well-rounded sporting environment.

Basketball Ground

A basketball ground, also known as a basketball court, is a rectangular playing surface where the game of basketball is played. The court features a hoop with a backboard at each end, and is marked with specific lines such as the center line, free-throw line, three-point arc, and key (painted area) to define the zones of play.

The dimensions of a basketball court are 28 meters by 15 meters. The hoop is positioned at a height of 10 feet (3.05 meters) from the ground.

A basketball ground supports the development of teamwork, coordination, agility, and strategic thinking, making it a central hub for physical fitness and sportsmanship.

Handball

A handball ground, is a rectangular playing area specifically designed for the fast-paced and energetic sport of handball. The court is marked with distinct lines including the goal area line (6-meter line), free-throw line (9-meter line), and center line, which define key zones of play.

The dimensions of handball court are 40 meters in length and 20 meters in width, with goals placed at the center of each end line. The goalposts measure 2 meters high and 3 meters wide. The playing surface is typically made of wood or synthetic material for optimal grip and movement.

The handball ground is designed to encourage speed, strategy, teamwork, and endurance. It provides a platform for players to showcase their skills in both offense and defense, promoting physical fitness and competitive spirit.

Volleyball

A volleyball ground, also known as a volleyball court, is a rectangular playing area designed for the sport of volleyball. It is divided into two equal halves by a net, with each team occupying one side. The court is marked with boundary lines, an attack line (also called the 3-meter line), and a center line to regulate gameplay.

The dimensions of a volleyball court are 18 meters long and 9 meters wide, with the net height set at 2.43 meters for men and 2.24 meters for women.

Volleyball grounds support the development of key skills such as agility, coordination, teamwork, and strategic play. Whether used for casual games or competitive matches, the court is a space that fosters fitness, focus, and sportsmanship.

Kabaddi

A kabaddi ground is a rectangular playing field designed specifically for the sport of kabaddi. It features clearly marked lines to define the mid-line, baulk lines, bonus lines, and boundaries, all essential for conducting fair and structured gameplay.

The standard size of a kabaddi court varies based on the category (men, women, juniors), but for men's competitions, the dimensions are typically 13 meters by 10 meters, while for women, it's 12 meters by 8 meters.

The kabaddi ground plays a crucial role in facilitating fast-paced action, physical endurance, and tactical strategy, making it a central space for traditional sporting excellence.

Athletics

The campus is equipped with dedicated spaces for a wide range of track and field events, offering students the opportunity to train, compete, and excel in athletics. These facilities support physical development, discipline, and competitive spirit.

  • Shot Put Arena – Built to standard specifications with a focus on safety, this arena supports strength-based training and competitive events.
  • Discus Throw Area – A properly marked throwing circle and landing zone designed to develop skill, technique, and precision.
  • Javelin Throw Field – A secure and spacious area that allows students to train for distance, accuracy, and control in javelin.
  • Long Jump Pit – Maintained with soft sand and a standard runway to ensure safe landings and high performance.
  • Running Track – A well-prepared surface suitable for sprints, middle-distance, and long-distance running, encouraging endurance and speed.

Chess

Chess is valued as a game that sharpens the mind, fostering concentration, strategic thinking, patience, and analytical skills. To support this intellectual pursuit, the college offers a peaceful, well-equipped indoor facility where students can play and practice in a focused environment.

Students are actively involved in intra-college chess competitions and are encouraged to represent the college in inter-collegiate and university-level tournaments. The institution provides all necessary resources, including chess boards, clocks, and a competitive atmosphere, to nurture talent and passion for the game.

Badminton

A badminton court is a rectangular playing area divided by a net in the center and is typically marked for both singles and doubles play. The court measures 13.4 meters (44 feet) in length. For singles matches, the width is 5.18 meters (17 feet), while for doubles, it extends to 6.1 meters (20 feet). The net height is 1.55 meters (5 feet 1 inch) at the posts and 1.524 meters (5 feet) at the center.

Specific service lines are marked, including the short service line, which is 1.98 meters (6 feet 6 inches) from the net, and the long service line for doubles, which is 0.76 meters (2 feet 6 inches) from the back boundary. The center line divides the service courts into left and right halves. The side lines vary depending on the type of match—inner sidelines for singles and outer sidelines for doubles. The back boundary line marks the farthest edge of the court, while the short and long service lines indicate the minimum and maximum distances a serve must travel. All court markings are clearly defined using white or yellow lines, each with a standard width of 40 mm (1.57 inches) to ensure maximum visibility and compliance with international standards.
